VietJet Air, a Vietnamese airline has come up with a racy marketing strategy by introducing flight attendants dressed in skimpy outfits. Is the New Talk of the Town!
The idea has done wonders for the airline in such a way that Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, CEO and founder of the airline has set to become one of the world’s richest people.
On a recent VietJetAir flight, there was a featured bikini show that flaunted the company colors of red and yellow, young, beautiful women filed down the plane’s aisles. A video of the models is available below:
Consequently, the airline was fined approximately $1,000 by Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) not because the airline conducted a beauty show but because it had held an “unapproved show” on the plane.
Vietjet Air has eaten up 30% share of the airline market. The airline company which completely believes in its motto ‘ Enjoy Flying!’, has already placed an order for Boeing jets for a whopping $11 billion so that the flights with bikini babes run smooth in the air.
Started as a publicity stunt in an air fashion show, the airline company has benefited largely and has attracted customers in huge numbers.
“You have the right to wear anything you like, either the bikini or traditional Vietnamese clothing,” the CEO said.
We don’t mind people associating the airline with the bikini image. If that makes people happy, then we are happy….
